A LOUIS XVI PROVINCIAL BRONZE-MOUNTED OAK SIDE TABLE
CIRCA 1775-80
With moulded serpentine-fronted black and white marble top above a fluted frieze with central lion mask and acanthus spray angles, on rounded stop-fluted legs with monumental stiff-leaf and tapering fluted sabots, the mounts 18th century but applied over the fluted decoration and therefore probably associated, the frieze bowed and with compensatory fillet
