Five TSUBA
The second signed Yamakichibei, Edo-Meiji Period (18th-Late 19th century)
The first a mokkogata plate chiselled overall with geese flying through driving rain, the rim gilt, Bushu school; the second a circular iron plate chiselled with Amida yasurime and pierced with a plum blossom and pine needle; the third an irregular octagonal sentoku tsuba inlaid in gilt and copper takazogan with a tanuki wearing robes and holding a bowl; the fourth a mokkogata iron plate inlaid with flowers in iroe takazogan and the fifth an oval iron tsuba with three cranes in yo-sukashi, some rust
7.2cm., 8.4cm., 7.5cm., 6.3cm. and 7cm. respectively (5)
