The hood with giltwood finials, outset front-fluted columns and glazed side panels, with moulded frame to trunk door and moulded panel to plinth on wavy skirting, the interior with paper label W. GOULDEN/Cabinet/And Clock Case Maker/CANTERBURY the 12 in. wide painted brass Roman and Arabic dial with crossed minute track, centre subsidiary rings for seconds and alarm set, the arch with further rings for date and strike/silent, also signed BREWER/LONDON, brass hands (blued steel seconds), pinned directly to the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement, with rack strike, trip repeat and alarm on bell; on later seatboard -- 91¾ in.
