The slender case with ebony banding, blocks to rear, the silvered dial signed J. Long/29 St. Martins Lane London and with sliding Vernier scale, the trunk with bone adjustment knob and mercury thermometer, with ebonised cistern cover -- 38 in. (97 cm.) high
