The case with glazed doors to dial and trunk, each with lock to side, the dial door double-hinged to open fully at the side, interior with paper label for HORST BRANDING, with brass bezel (stamped 379) to 9¾ in. (25 cm.) diameter silvered and engraved regulator format dial, signed Strasser & Rohde Glashütte i/Sa, blued steel hands (wound through hour), the movement secured with screws to a bracket on the backboard, its shallow-arched plates joined by four back-screwed pillars, front plate numbered 379, the dead beat escapement with adjustable jewelled pallets, jewelled to the escape wheel, maintaining power, wheels with five crossings, the single cylinder nickel-steel pendulum with compensation above the bob and Invar side rods, suspended from the backboard via independent suspension spring numbered 79, pendulum with adjustable crutch and numbered 114 at the top, also with serial number 258168DRGM27127 -- 59 in.
