The case with vertical sliding bar handle to the gadroon moulded top, quoined angles, the front of cast with a tiger and her cubs attacked by a cobra amongst scrolling foliage, foliate cast bronze side frets, the front and sides of the base with tiger's head mounts, on four foliate cast feet, the silvered engraved dial signed James McCabe Royal Exchange/London/1880, the eight day five pillar twin chain fusee movement with maintaining power, large escapement platform with plain three-arm balance wheel with flat blued steel hair spring and underslung lever escapement, strike on bell fixed to back plate with repeat signature -- 13 in.
