The 6in. square gilt-brass dial signed Sam Watson London on the silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, matted centre with calendar aperture, winged cherub spandrels, the movement with thick brass rectangular plates secured by six robust ring-turned pillars, twin fusees with wire lines, re-bulit knife-edge verge escapement with later backcock, hour strike on a bell via an internal rack on the inside of the backplate, restored pull quarter repeat on a single bell via steel wishbone and leaf spring system on the front plate, the backplate engraved with tight foliate scrolls and contred by a cartouche engraved Sam Watson London, the case with gilt-brass foliate tied handle to the cushion moulded top, glazed sides, gilt-metal sound fret and escutcheons to the front door, the moulded base on block feet
