A Japanese brass, steel and shitan wood lantern clock on stand
Unsigned. First quarter 19th century
The dial plate, doors and rear plate cast with flowers in high relief, black lacquered convex chapter ring with Japanese characters centred by a revolving disc carrying a black painted hour hand, the two train movement with blued steel wheels, twin foliot verge escapement, countwheel strike on the bell above the plates, the stand with gilt-brass foliate cast handle to the front cover, glazed movement cover with sound fret in the back
