FIRST EDITION. Shelley began "Rosalind and Helen" at Marlow and finished it at the Baths of Lucca in August, 1818 after he had left England for the last time in March of that year. Shelley later complained of the edition that there were errors "which are so much the worse because they are errors in sense" (quoted in Grolier Shelley).
