1776 shows the interior of a warm New England home with a fire burning and potatoes roasting nearby. The Harvest Moon depicts rows of Indian corn and pumpkins amidst their prime during the autumnal time of year. Tomato features a mountain cabin, a location where the season is not long enough to allow the vegetables to ripen on the vine. Okra is rendered in the most natural of forms and was selected by Theodore R. Davis because of its frequent use in the delectable American soup, gumbo.
