Two Wood family creamware figures
of a shepherd and shepherdess, each modelled standing with one hand outstretched to hold a crook, in typical dress, he with a dog at his feet and she with a sheep at hers, both set on rocky-mound bases, enriched in translucent green, brown, yellow, brown glazes, cobalt and manganese -- 9¾in. (25cm.) high, circa 1785 (restoration and slight chips)
