Tapering circular and engraved with foliage scrolls and vacant cartouches at the rim, the hinged cover with a baluster finial, with a wood handle, the coffee pot fitted with a strainer, engraved with an initial 'W' below a Royal Duke's coronet, engraved underneath the hot-water pot with an inscription, each marked near handle and inside cover

The initial is that of H.R.H. Prince William of Gloucester (1941-1972).
The inscription reads 'From H.M. Queen Mary Birthday 1942' (2)
