Vase shaped and on spreading foot, with a central reeded band, the detachable pierced cover with a baluster finial, engraved with an initial 'W' below a Royal Duke's coronet, marked on side an on cover

The initial is that of H.R.H. Prince William of Gloucester (1941-1972).

Given to Prince William of Gloucester (1941-1972) by his grandmother Queen Mary (1867-1953).
