A SILVER-PLATE MEMORIAL BUST OF H.R.H. PRINCE ALBERT VICTOR, DUKE OF CLARENCE AND AVONDALE IN HIS UNIFORM AS CAPTAIN OF THE 10TH HUSSARS
MARK OF ELKINGTON, CIRCA 1892
Realistically modelled and supported on a wood plinth, the base engraved with an 'E' cypher within a Garter motto and below a Royal Duke's coronet, the base applied on one side with a heart shaped shield engraved with a cross and dated 'Jan. 14th 1892' and on the other with an 'E' cypher within a Garter motto and below a Royal Duke's coronet, the back stamped 'Elkington & Co.'

Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale (1864-1892) was born Albert Victor Christian Edward, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, later Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
