24° (110 x 48mm). Woodcut frontispiece and 8 small woodcuts of fish in the text. (Title extensively repaired but with no loss of text, some light discolouration and spotting.) Late 19th-century polished half calf, red and blue labels on spine. Provenance: Thomas Westwood, co-author of Bibliotheca Piscatoria (bookplate).

THE VERY RARE SECOND EDITION, but the first with this title, of an 18th-century compilation derived from Markham's original texts. This one consists of extracts from the section on angling in The Pleasures of Princes, bird-catching in Hungers Prevention, hunting, coursing and dogs in Countrey Contentments and poultry, &c. in Markhams Method.
