Oblong 4°, (263 x 350mm). 18 hand-coloured aquatint plates [by R. G. Reeve] after Newhouse, each on blue paper, heightened with gum arabic. Contemporary green half roan over marbled boards, gilt spine (worn).
A VERY RARE SERIES OF COACHING PRINTS BY CHARLES B. NEWHOUSE, an artist known for his coaching subjects produced between 1830 to 1845. This set of aquatints was issued in parts and originally published by J. Watson. This paarticular issue of the publication by McLean is not mentioned in Siltzer. Cf. Siltzer p.192 (J. Watson issue).
