4°, (268 x 270mm). 16 hand-coloured aquatint plates heightened with gum arabic with hand-coloured aquatint title page. (Light discoloured to title page. Original 19th century green cloth, titled in gilt on upper cover (plates disbound).

A rare set of coaching prints by Charles Newhouse, who specialised in producing scenes of mail and stage coaching between 1830 to 1845. An excellent example of Newhouse's work, these plates portray the speed associated with the open road, and the calamity or comedy that speed can bring about!
