Oblong 2° (261 x 360mm). Engraved title and 102 plates by Galle, Mallery, Collaert and others, all hand-coloured. (Corner of plate 16 restored with no damage, a few very short tears in the margins). Contemporary green half calf (slightly worn, upper hinge split).
A reprint of the edition described by Schwerdt 'A later issue which was published with engraved frontispiece and 102 pls. (out of the 104 pls. of the first edition). The set of 6 pls. on the silkworm [also present in this copy] is a separate publication'Schwerdt II, p228.
