The hood with ball and eagle finial to swan neck pediment and outset front-fluted columns, the rectangular trunk door with tracery arch inlay, flanked by fluted three-quarter length half columns, above plinth with canted angles and roundel inlay, on bracket feet, the 13 in wide brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, foliate scroll engraved centre with subsiidary seconds and date rings, blued steel hands, signed on a silvered convex disc in the arch John Hayes/Wrexham, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 90 in.
