The case with hinged doors to the hood, on separate plinth, the 11 in. wide silvered and repoussé brass dial with arcaded Roman pewter chapter ring, gilt centre, brass hour hand, the three train movement with anchor escapement and rack strike/trip repeat on two bells; movement and dial late 18th Century, case 20th Century -- 98½ in. (250 cm.) high
