Tachi blade inscribed Bishu Osafune Sukesada and bearing date 1395, wakizashi blade and all mounts 19th century
The tachi honzukuri, iori-mune, ko-kissaki with koshizori curvature; forging pattern ko-itame; tempered edge gonome choji midare of nie and indistinct boshi; tang o-suriage with katte-sagari file marks and two holes

The mounts comprising saya, tsuka and tachi tsuba all decorated with dragons in clouds or phoenixes in scrolling vines worked in colored enamels and silver wire against a black ground, the brass tachi hardware carved with dragons in clouds and scrolling vines
