The exterior decorated in deep tones of underglaze blue with a continuous frieze of spreading prunus branches intermingled with bamboo above a petal lappet border, with a band of key fret below the rim and encircling the small foot, an apocryphal Xuande mark in the base of the interior, and a six-petaled lotus blossom on the base
