We are grateful to Everett Fahy for suggesting on the basis of transparencies that the present picture is close to works produced in Prato, around 1400. We are also grateful to Miklós Boskovits for similarly suggesting that the picture is Tuscan in origin, circa 1370-80, perhaps around Pistoia, with elements of the Orcagna circle mixed with an Emilian influence.
