With nickel-finished fully jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers, glazed dust cover, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, gold spade hands, constant seconds, in plain circular case, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band, case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered by maker, dial signed by retailer

Lot Essay

Bernard Poitevin was a watchmaker and retailer located in Geneva and Paris. Around 1900 he took over the watch manufacture L. Gironde and consequently, the firm was renamed to Poitevin, Gironde Successeurs, specializing in high quality watches, both with and without complications and chronometers with Geneva Bulletin d'Observatoire.
