A GERMAN MUSKETEER'S PRIMING-FLASK
Late 16th/early 17th Century
Of triangular form, with wooden body covered in black leather, and with blackened iron mounts, tapering short muzzle with spring-lever closure and basal cut-off moving on a scrolling spring-lever, the front with leather pouch for pyrites or flint retaining its original draw-thong (the latter incomplete), and four suspension rings retaining the original suspension strap (torn in two places).
