A SCOTTISH HIGHLAND DRESS DIRK
Late 19th Century
With tapering blade with notched back-edge and etched with scroll and thistle ornament over most of its length on both sides, including the owner's monogram and the retailer's address, carved wooden baluster hilt studded with silver nails, silver-plated mounts cast with thistle ornament, the pommel set with a paste, and in its original sheath with extra-pieces en suite, the locket bearing the boar's head badge of Argyll.
