AN ENGLISH OFFICER'S SWORD WITH PERSIAN BLADE
Late 18th Century
With curved blade of watered steel inlaid with a brass 'magic' square, in translation 'BDUH', and with the Persian inscription 'The Work of Asadullah Isfahaim', slotted fluted iron hilt, fluted pommel, and original fishkin-covered grip bound with copper ribband (light rust and pitting throughout)
