A LOW COUNTRIES LONG WHEEL-LOCK HOLSTER PISTOL

With slender barrel changing from octagonal to round and struck with a pair of asterisk marks under the breech, plain bevelled lock drawn to a down-curved sharp point, external wheel retained by a stud-like bracket, sliding pan-cover with peg release, ebonised full stock inlaid with three dentate horn washers impaled by the lock side-nails, 'fishtail' butt with domed ebonised cap inset with a single horn pellet and seated on a horn fillet, iron trigger-guard, moulded iron ramrod-pipes, iron fore-end cap, and iron-tipped ramrod (the stock with several very small repairs).
