Each painted in the manner of James Giles with scattered butterflies and bouquets, the border with three vignettes of pairs of 'disheveled birds', in landscapes within shaped puce cartouches extending into the basin, the moulded feathered rim enriched in green and gilt, the underside with puce-outlined green leaves covering kiln flaws
