A SWISS ENAMELLED GOLD BONBONNIÈRE
Geneva, circa 1780/1800, with prestige marks including maker's mark 'LFT', a pseudo-parisian date-letter crowned 'K', a rosette resembling the charge mark of Julien Alaterre and a hen's head resembling the discharge mark of Julien Berthe, later struck with the Austrian tax mark ('Goldrepunze') for Lemberg (Lvov/Lviv), 1806/1807, and two Parisian post-1838 restricted warranty marks for gold
Circular box, the independent cover, sides and base enamelled in translucent blue and scattered with gold paillon stars and pellets on an engine-turned ground of radiating concentric circles, within white enamel borders, the frosted gold borders enamelled with a blue enamel band twisted with a translucent green garland of leaves, the sablé side dividers similarly decorated
