QIANLONG INCISED SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The small bowl enamelled with the Eight Buddhist Emblems evenly spaced around the exterior, supported on colourful lotus and surrounded by a dense network of curly scrollwork, between overlapping lappets at the base and key-fret around the flaring mouthrim, the foot with a classic scroll
3 7/8 in. (9.9 cm.) diam.

A set of four bowls with this design was included in the exhibition, Happy Birthday Emperor Qianlong, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, 2000, illustrated in the Catalogue, p. 74.
