The serpentine toprail above a solid vase-shaped splat with serpentine arms and eagle's head terminals on turned supports above a padded drop-in seat covered in associated floral 18th century petit point needlework, on cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet; AND PERCY MACQUOID, A HISTORY OF ENGLISH FURNITURE; THE AGE OF WALNUT [MAHOGANY; SATINWOOD], LONDON: 1905-1908, 3 VOLS. ONLY (of 4, lacking Age of Oak), folio, colour plates, illustrations, original maroon cloth, lettered in gilt (slightly faded), t.e.g.;
