The circular brass dial centering an etched compass, surmounted by a recessed window with an automaton figure of a blacksmith with anvil, the rectangular case etched with columns, stars and various other masonic symbols, on circular feet, the backplate signed F. FARRINGTON BRISTOL REVD GEORGE WEARE BRAIKENRIDGE CLAREMONT VILLA, CLEVEDON. A.D. 1840, the Fusee movement with anchor escapement striking the 1/4 hour on eight bells
