A Chinese cloisonne enamel joss-stick holder, Ming Dynasty
formed as a blue-ground baluster vase bolted into the centre of a circular dish, decorated in the interior with four yellow-ground ruyi-shaped dragon panels reserved on a turquoise ground with foliated flower scrolls, with similar ground decoration on the underside, pierced with four small holes below the rim -- 4¾in. (12cm.) diam.
