Housed in a cylindrical case, wood covered in red velvet and silver thread brocade, 108 x 47mm (brocade a litte oxidised, slight wear).
An elegant roll containing a list of the 155 peers of England, each rank divided from the next by an illuminated coronet (regal, ducal, marquisal, comital, vicecomital and baronial), beginning with the King, his heir the Duke of York and Prince Rupert of the Rhine (died 1682) and finishing with Lord Crew. The roll enumerates 7 dukes (including the 2 royal dukes), 4 marquesses, 59 earls, 8 viscounts and 69 barons.
