Attributed to Herter Brothers (1865-1905), New York City, circa 1880
The headboard with a stepped crest centered by a scalloped rail over a spindle-turned gallery above a tulip-inlaid freize flanked by floral and linear incised and gilded stiles further flanked by similar galleries and similar stiles each surmounted by a gilt and incised turned finial, all over three conforming gilt and incised panels flanked by shaped and similarly embellished brackets above similarly incised and inlaid side rails continuing to a footboard with a ring and columnar turned crest with similar incised embellishments over a spindle-turned gallery above a tulip-inlaid freize over three conforming and similarly embellished panels, all flanked by similar stiles, on turned feet
