No.8, with button-up collar and embroidered cloth badge, inscribed England, FIFA World Cup, France 1998, the reverse lettered Batty; a signed letter of provenance from David Batty stating that he wore the shirt in the 1998 World Cup match against Argentina; and four autographed colour photographs of David Batty during and just after the match (6)

The above shirt was worn by David Batty in the 1998 World Cup 2nd round match against Argentina. In the match played on 30th June 1998 in St. Etienne, England were defeated 4-3 on penalties, David Batty missing England's vital penalty
