MISSAL. -- Canon Missae ad usum episcoporum ac praelatorum. Venice: Typographia Balleoniana, 1765.
2o (408 x 280 mm). Printed in red and black, musical notation in four staves. Engraved frontispiece and 14 full-page engravings in text, mostly by Sister Isabella Piccini. (Some leaves at end with margins reinforced.) Contemporary Italian binding with elaborate gilt sides, Holy monogram in gilt at center of sides, floral and foliate dentelle built up from small tools, spine in gilt compartments, blue decorated paper endleaves, edges gilt (some very light rubbing to extremities, generally in fine condition); contemporary blind-ruled calf pull-off case. Provenance: Linz, Austria, Freinberg College (small inkstamp on title); purchased from Lucien Goldschmidt, 12 October 1957.
