Plates, some folding, after Raphael, Paul Véronèse, Poussin, Dominiquin and l'Àlbane. 19th-century citron diapered morocco, sides with wide gilt borders, front side with central metal relief plaque of Christ carrying the Cross mounted within a gilt-metal frame, rear side with central panel tooled with a gilt Cross, spine gilt-lettered and decorated, gilt decorated white silk doublures and endleaves, edges gilt; contemporary elaborately gilt blue morocco folding case, gilt-titled on spine, silk lined (upper cover detached). Provenance: purchased from the Chiswick Book Shop, 20 June 1958.
