Four full-page engraved illustrations of the Evangelists, woodcut illustrations in the text, printed in red and black within borders of typographic ornaments, bound with Readings from the Gospels, Moscow, 1831 at end with manuscript prayers in Cyrillic transcription of a Turkic language. (Rather soiled throughout, some tears with minor loss, 2 leaves, pp.254-255, loose and cropped.) Contemporary repoussé brass over wooden boards (worn, upper cover lacking enamel plaques), lower cover with Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, (lacking studs and clasps). Later ownership inscription on lower margin of first leaves.
