Painted by G.E. Schicker with Danaë and the golden shower, the youthful figure scantily draped, pulling back the bed clothes and getting out of bed, showered by golden coins from the puce drapery above, an elderly figure looking on, the top edge of the plaque inscribed G.E.Schicker. f. 1775. Dresden. in puce (slight chip to upper right corner, minute frit to upper edge, some slight chipping to underside)
