The veined brown eared moulded rectangular Rouge Languedoc marble top above a pierced frieze centred by a shell flanked by foliate scrolls on a hatched ground, the sides decorated conformingly, on S-shaped legs decorated with foliage and scrolls, the X-shaped stretchers joined by a sunflower, with a later moulding under the top, regilt, minor losses, including a section to the pierced frieze of one short side

Lot Essay

The Château de Vaulserre, always considered one of the most beautiful châteaux of the Dauphiné, retains its 18th century formal architectural plan. Originally the seat of the Clermont family, it was later owned by the Corbeau de Saint Franc family.
