The case finely engraved overall with delicate scrolling foliage, facetted finials to the top with bevel-glazed viewing aperture, cluster columns to the four angles with dentilled friezes, engraved rear door and resting on foliate cast feet, the foliate engraved silver dial with painted Roman chapters and blued steel hands, foliate engraved gilt mask signed N. Hart & Son 77 Cornhill London, the chain fusee timepiece movement with gilt lever platform to the top of the plates with plain brass balance, the backplate signed N. Hart & Son 77, Cornhill London No. 18921
