The case with caryatides monopodiae to the angles on a foliate cast rectangular base on toupie feet, bevel glazed sides, the break arch top with pinecone finials and surmounted by an amorous trophy, the white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc signed Le Roy & Fils Pals Royal Gle Montpensier 13-15 Paris 296 Regent Street London, foliate pierced and chased ormolu hands, the movement with twin spring barrels, Desfontaine-variant deadbeat escapement on the backplate with later pendulum, rack strike on a bell, the backplate signed Le Roy & Fils A Paris No. 6649, the enamel calendar dial with rings for day of the week, date and outer concentric months and moonphase
