The case with bird-and-floral marquetry to the plinth with later skirting and to the rectangular trunk door with brass-framed lenticle, convave throat moulding beneath the hood with further marquetry and later brass-capped ebonised columns, the 12in. square dial signed Peter Walker London on the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic chapters, later? pierced blued steel hands, the matted centre with seconds ring, decorated calendar aperture and ring-turned winding holes, cherub-and-crown spandrels, within a wheatear engraved border, the movement with four ring-turned pillars, anchor escapement and internal countwheel strike on a bell; movement and case probably associated
