A French white marble, blue painted and gilt-bronze striking mantel clock, circa 1890
Modelled with three cherubs supporting a globe applied with stars, on cylindrical plinth applied with floral swag mounts and with concave-sided base, applied with Roman chapters and with arrow hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with vertically-positioned cylinder escapement and countwheel strike on bell, stamped for Marti -- 14½ in. (37 cm.) high
