The arched case with loop and fruiting basket side handles above fishscale sound frets, on ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial with blued steel crescent moon hands, signed YONGE & SON/Strand/LONDON, strike/silent lever at XII, the eight day movement with shouldered plates joined by five pillars, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement and strike/trip repeat on bell, the back plate with engraved border and pendulum holdfast -- 14½ in. (37 cm.) high; pendulum, crank key, case key
