A Victorian small rosewood mantel timepiece, mid 19th Century
The arched case with solid sides and on brass bun feet, with tracery arch front door and silvered sight ring to conforming silvered and engraved dial with Roman chapter ring, signed within a cartouche below W. Johnson/STRAND London, blued steel fleur-de-lys hands, the eight day single chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, with holdfast and repeat signature to the back plate -- 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) high
