THE TROWEL WITH MARK OF GEORGE ADAMS, LONDON, 1867,
With ivory handle, the blade engraved with a border of scrolls & beads on a linear ground around a reserve inscribed to a Mrs. Marian Spring from the Committee of the Clock & Watchmakers Asylum in acknowledgement of the gift of a house for 2 widows in memory of her husband on the occasion of her laying the memorial stone on 21/9/1893, THE SILVER-GILT KEY WITH MARK OF V&S incuse, BIRMINGHAM, 1893, surmounted with a fleur-de-lys above a shield enamelled in red & blue with the lady's monogram & date "1893", all contained in a velvet-lined, glass-fronted presentation case with lift-up cover. height of case 27 5/8 in.
