A SMALL TURQUOISE-INLAID GILT-BRONZE BEAR-FORM FITTING
HAN DYNASTY, C. 1ST CENTURY AD
Solid-cast in a seated position with right forepaw raised and the left tugging on the lower jaw forcing the mouth wide open, the small upright ears joined by a small bar forming a small hole for attachment, the body finely incised with hair markings and inlaid with turquoise, the body cast in the round except for the area behind the head which is flat, creating a ledge at the back of the shoulders
